Michael Lee is from the Boyne City Area. His November 2008 win at the Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge in Traverse City MI, secured him a spot to compete in the International Blues Challenge, 2009, where he performed at Mr. Handy's Blues Hall, on Beale Street, Memphis TN, in February 2009.   Michael Lee was voted as one of the Best Acoustic Blues Artists in Northern Michigan, per the Northern Express, & has offered his original works from Pass Chrstian, MS to Memphis TN, to Chapleau Ontario, and as far west as Minneapolis MN And as far est as Baumholder Germany.
