I work out of my studio here in Bellaire and out of Rolling Thunder Studio on 8th St. in Traverse City. Both keep me very busy these days. At my place I do tracking, mixing and editing. I work as the mastering engineer at Rolling Thunder, but also do tracking and mixing there. It is a complete hd3 protools studio where we do movie scoring and final analog mastering. A lot of my work is taking home, or other studio's recordings and mastering them for them. We have a $20,000 analog mastering tool over there that was designed and hand built by Rupert Neve and Billy Stull. It adds such warmth and good tape compression to projects that it blows my mind. It truly is a pleasure to have that kind of stuff to work with these days.
