Bob Marshall Ortonville, Michigan, USA

Americana, Acoustic, Folk

In the mid 1970's Bob Marshall passed on an opportunity to perform with the internationally known folk group, "The New Christy Minstrels". The group indicated that they were looking to him for his deep baritone voice and entertainment abilities.

Bob knows how to entertain.

Having spent many years as a police officer and as a professional rodeo cowboy, Bob has had the opportunity to see a wide spectrum of life and uses those experiences to write songs that everyone can find some connection with.

Bob Marshall has literally performed his music and entertained audiences from one side of the United States to the other. From the Chesapeake Bay to the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, Bob has been entertaining audiences for over thirty years. But, it doesn’t stop there. Bob’s music has also received international play in Canada, Australia, Japan, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the European continent.

Influenced by a variety of genres, Bob allows his music and words to speak for themselves through the most intimate of acoustic sounds. Bob has opened for nationally recognized acts such as Ronny Cox, Michael Smith and Tim Grimm.

Bob does what entertainers are meant to do. The most important thing that an entertainer can do. Bob connects with people.

Bob is also working on a children’s book, “The Winning of the Race”, based upon Bob’s song of the same name. The book will be a multimedia presentation and will include a CD
